About Us
No Bias AI? is the next step in a journey that started in 2018 with the publication of a UNESCO report on gender bias in AI algorithms. Our founder and CEO Saniye Gülser Corat led the research behind the report as UNESCO's Director of Gender Equality.

After retiring from UNESCO she decided to launch a think tank with the express purpose of inquiring whether bias in general and gender bias in particular can be eliminated within the current AI paradigm.

We believe that Generative AI or any AI based on dataset-driven Machine Learning is highly unlikely to yield effective bias elimination measures. For that, a paradigm-shift and a transition from Machine Learning to Machine Reasoning might be required.

Our goal is twofold: One is conducting research in Machine Reasoning and developing a Gender Knowledge Base (GKB) to be used in that platform. And two, creating audit tools to reduce the negative impact of gender and other types of biases in the current data-driven paradigm.

We have an eclectic, experienced and multidisciplinary team to achieve these goals.
